One Day Soon (Maybe)
Watch on YouTube:
Look carefully at the date in which I composed this music ...
Yes, its late 2020 ... a time when the world was gripped with the terrible COVID-19 pandemic.

This deadly virus was sweeping accross the world, devastating millions of lives, responsible for the early demise of fathers, mothers, grandfathers, grandmothers, sons, daughters ...

It affected the lives of us all.

During the lockdown period, businesses closed and livelihoods were lost.

People were not allowed to meet others - even for family funerals.

So this piece has the message of hope that "One day soon... people will be able once again to meet, live together, laugh together, make music together....

It's an optimistic message for us all.

The National Covid Memorial Wall in London

This is a public mural painted by volunteers to commemorate victims of the COVID-19 pandemic in the United Kingdom.

Started in March 2021 and stretching more than one-third of a mile (five hundred metres) along the South Bank of the River Thames, opposite the Palace of Westminster, the mural consists of approximately 150,000 red and pink hearts, intending to have one for each of the casualties of COVID-19 in the United Kingdom at the time of the mural's commencement.
The intent was for each heart to be, in the words of one of the founders of the wall,
"individually hand-painted; utterly unique, just like the loved ones we’ve lost".
